Langcaster Lightwave 5 String Bass
The Langcaster Lightwave is a five-string, solid body bass hand-crafted from 35,000 year-old Swamp Kauri wood. The maple neck contains two-way adjustable truss rod and two graphite reinforcement bars for greater stability, longer sustain, and less adjustments for seasonal changes. This model features the Maori patterned, tilted head stock and EarVana compensation nut. These innovations eliminate the need for string trees and allow for cleaner, crisper open notes. The neck is finished off with and with and shell inlayed logo and a rosewood fretboard.
The pickup configuration is where this bass really shines, literally. The Lightwave features the Lightwave laser pickups to optically sense and capture the string's vibrations. The sound is processed through state-of-the-art electronics and sent to your amp or computer. Langcaster is one of the first to adapt LightWave Systems technology.
