Langcaster Lightwave 5 String Bass
The Langcaster Bart is a five-string, solid body bass hand-crafted from 35,000 year-old Swamp Kauri wood. The maple neck contains two-way adjustable truss rod and two graphite reinforcement bars for greater stability, longer sustain, and less adjustments for seasonal changes. This model features the Maori patterned, tilted head stock and EarVana compensation nut. These innovations eliminate the need for string trees and allow for cleaner, crisper open notes. The neck is finished off with and with and shell inlayed logo and a rosewood fretboard.
The hardware configuration features the new Schaller Active Pickups. These produce a higher output, lower noise (necessary with this type of wood), and greater sensitivity to string vibrations.
